Catherine Sartin
Chief Operating Officer
Cat Sartin serves as Chief Operating Officer of ExperCARE Health, where she leads enterprise strategy and operations across the organization’s urgent care platform. A seasoned healthcare executive, Cat has built her career scaling high-growth healthcare organizations, developing exceptional leaders, and driving operational excellence through innovation, transformation, and community-centered care.
Prior to joining ExperCARE, Cat served as Vice President of Operations for Vituity’s Outpatient Medicine division, overseeing a national portfolio spanning urgent care, family medicine, wound care, occupational health, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), and health and wellness services. She led strategic growth initiatives, operational performance, and market expansion across multiple service lines focused on delivering accessible, high-quality ambulatory care.
Previously, Cat held executive leadership roles at SCA Health (Optum/UnitedHealth Group), where she led the Business Relationships function, and at American Family Care, where she served as Strategy Director responsible for enterprise strategy, digital transformation, revenue growth, and patient engagement initiatives. Earlier in her career, she spent significant time in the diagnostics industry, helping commercialize proprietary biomarker technologies while leading cross-functional teams across clinical affairs, managed care, sales effectiveness, marketing, product management, and business development.
Cat earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Psychology and Cognitive Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Healthcare Management certificate from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and an Executive MBA with distinction in Finance from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
She is an active mentor with Techstars’ UnitedHealth Group Digital Health Accelerator, a partner in UNC’s 100 Women initiative, serves on the Board of the Center for the Business of Health at UNC, is a member of CHIEF, and is a Fellow of the Women’s Policy Institute of Alabama.
